Loylee Murray
Loylee (Hunt) Murray was born on June 1, 1929 at Cox Piece, St. Mary’s, Jamaica to Agatha P. and Elias Hunt. She attended Donnington Elementary School, after graduation she became a dressmaker. After graduation, she became a dressmaker and had 2 children. She would later marry Osbourne Murray and produce 7 children.
“Aunt Lee”, as she was affectionately called, worked very hard to take care of her family. After years of hard work she was able to migrate to the U.S. in the early 80’s and lived in Boston, MA. She was able to gain employment in the hotel industry and remained employed there until she retired.
Loylee Murray passed away on January 23, 2018 after a long illness. She leaves behind her children, Carl Bruff, Joy Bruff Hawkins, Locksley Murray, Courtney Murray, Lloyd Murray, Joan Murray, Cleve Murray, and June Murray. She is also survived by her sister, Immelda Green and brother, Ivanhoe Campbell and host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Aunt Lee will join her family members who predeceased her. Her 2 sons Ripton and Dave Murray, her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters of blessed memory. Loylee will be sadly missed by all.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 19 at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER, LOWER MILLS, from 4-6pm. The Funeral Service will begin immediately after 6pm. Relatives and friends invited.
