As Auntie Barbie’s niece & Johnny’s daughter – I was lucky enough to be part of the Lyons clan – and there for every Easter & Thanksgiving holiday – as David proudly carried on Nana & Aunt Mary’s traditions of welcoming one & all to the table. Some of my best family memories include Easter nights listening to Uncle Dan play the piano in Aunt Mary’s living room.
David kept those memories alive & kept us all together year after year – with kids of our own. David & my dad would spend hours debating the fate of the Red Sox as well as the state of the Union – as they laughed over stories of their own antics of long ago.
An avid history buff, David entertained us all with local history facts & family lore including his own recent memories of post-Prohibition trips to the cape.
Smart & funny – David kept us all up to date on all things Milton & beyond – and encouraged all of us to get involved in our own communities. I will miss David & be ever grateful to be part of the Lyons clan,
