Bernard Sneed
Bernard Sneed of Boston, died January 7, 2018 after a long illness. Beloved husband of Dorothy Sneed (Jenkins) of Boston. Loving father of Arthenis Sneed (Jackson) and her husband Curtis of Dorchester and Andre Sneed of Boston. Brother of Phillip, Isaac, Elijah and Janice Sneed and the late Linda Sneed, Judy Parker, George and Fred Jr. Sneed. Cherished grandfather of Akil Sneed, Jamari Jackson, Nyree Sneed and Cianna Jackson. Nephew of Arlene Harris of Colorado.
Bernard worked for many years at University of Massachusetts Boston as the Director of Community Relations before retiring. He was well known for his longtime community activist and helping kids in the community. Bernard’s family was truly the most important aspect of his life. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved him.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday January 18, 2018 in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington, Dorchester Lower Mills from 4-8PM. Funeral Service will be held on Friday January 19, 2018 in the Concord Baptist Church, 180 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton at 11AM. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

I looked to him as one of the strongest man that I know, he battled this MS disease like a champ, which always gave myself and many others hope & strength to keep moving forward.
