Tara O’Meara, 65, beloved mother, wife, and friend passed away on December 11, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Tara was born and raised in Milton, Massachusetts, and attended Milton High School.  After high school she attended the Katharine Gibbs School, and went on to spend most of her professional career working at the Massachusetts State House until her retirement in 2014.

Tara’s main priority and focus was her beloved family and friends who always described her as warm, kind, and generous.  She could always be found entertaining, decorating, or cooking.  For all those who were lucky enough to be in her presence she will be greatly missed each and every day.

Beloved wife of Brian L. O’Meara. Loving mother of Michael Brennan of Portland, ME, Maisie Ostrye of Natick and the late Brian Brennan. Sister of Jerome Cavanaugh of Milton and the late James Newell and Fredericka McIntyre. Devoted grandmother of Miles Ostrye of Natick. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday at 12 noon , in the Dolan – Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Ave, MILTON VILLAGE. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours Friday morning 10 – 12. Interment private.
