Onnel Jean-Baptiste

Onnel Jean-Baptiste, of Boston, passed away on November 8, 2017. Onnel was the loving son of Prosper Jean Baptiste and Angela Sydney. Born and raised in Jacmel , Haiti. Onnel came to the United States at a young age and started working at General Dynamics as a Welder. Once Onnel retired from General Dynamics he started working as a cab driver full time.

July 2005 Onnel was diagnosed with Kidney Failure and began treatment in October of 2005.  He attended the The Davita Boston Dialysis Center in Boston, MA  for the past 12 years for his treatment.

Onnel was a very caring and active person who would drop what he had to do to help others. His sense of humor was adored by all. One thing for sure Onnel never completely gave up smoking and  scratching his scratch tickets every day.  Before his departure for Dialysis he took his last smoke before leaving this earth. Onnel never was one to be over excited about any situation that was going on. He was the most calmest person known on earth and joked during the good times and definitely during  the  bad times to keep everyone laughing.

It is sad that we have lost such a good person. He will be deeply  be missed, but  never forgotten. With love Always!

A visitation will be held at Saint Matthew’s Church, 39 Stanton Street, Dorchester, Saturday, November 18 from 8:30-9:30 AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will being at 10:00 AM.  Relatives and friends invited.  Interment  at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
