Carl Albert Peterson, “Pete”, age 90, of Milton died on August 15, 2017.  Beloved husband for 56 years of the late Shirley (Wheeler) Peterson.  Loving father of Carl Eric Peterson and his wife Penny of Indiana and Linnea Linderman and her husband Richard of Virginia.  Cherished grandfather of nine grandchildren; Amy Pfaff and her husband Robb, Lesley Peterson, Daniel Peterson and his wife Hannah, Scott Linderman and his wife Anne, Stephen Linderman, Jessica Peterson, Matthew Linderman, Randolph Linderman and Taylor Peterson and five great grandchildren.

Carl was a lifelong resident of Milton.  He is a graduate of Milton Public Schools and Northeastern University.  He earned the rank of Private First Class serving in the United States Army during World War II.  Carl worked for 36 years as a mechanical engineer for the Mathewson Company, designing marine propulsion units.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating and spending time with his family on his farm in Maine.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated in First Congregational Church, 495 Canton Avenue, Milton, Monday, August 21 at 11:00 AM.  Relatives and friends are invited.  Interment Milton Cemetery.
