Robert Swan of Dorchester, died Sunday March 26, 2017.

Beloved husband of Clarice (Alford) Swan of Dorchester. Loving father of Latoya Swan, Stacey Alford, Mark “Anthony” Alford, Jacqueline Alford all of Dorchester and the late Duane, Stephan, Wendell and Miriam Swan. Brother of Sue Swan of Roxbury and the late Barbara Swan, Charlotte Swan Wade, Mamie Ross and Delores Cole.   Robert is also the grandfather of 18, great-grandfather of 19 and uncle of a host of nieces and nephews.

Robert was born and raised in Missouri. He was an entrepreneur in his younger years owning a refrigeration business, real estate business and many others. Later he worked as a superintendent at Sophia Snow Place for many years. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and enjoyed traveling and watching old gangster and Western movies. He is remembered by his family as a simple, kind and humble man who adored his family. He will be missed by all his family, friends and all who had the pleasure to have him in their life.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the viewing on Wednesday April 5, 2017 at 10:00-12 Noon at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 Noon in the funeral home. Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
