Elise Morency
Elise (Bien-Aime) Morency of Jamaica Plain,died Feb 23rd 2017. Born in Medor, Haiti she was raised and educated in Haiti. She was employed as a teacher before becoming the director of her own school “Ecole maternelle Enfant Jesus de Prague” in Petite Rivrere de l’Artibonite, Haiti. She also was a seamstress that taught many young girls on her time how to sew. Elise moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1976. She resided in New York until relocating to Boston in 1985.
She was the beloved wife of the late Desaix Morency. Devoted mother of Denis Morency of Mattapan, Edna Paul of Hyde Park, Mona Morency of New York, Herve Morency of Hyde Park, Marie Solomon of Jamaica Plain and the late Paula Cadet of Hyde Park. Sister of Venan Bien-Aime of Brockton. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.
Viewing Hours in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Friday March 10th from 7pm-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Angela’s Church Saturday, March 11, at 10 o’clock. Interment Oak Lawn Cemetery, Roslindale.
