James F. Little

James F. Little, of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died at Boston Medical Center, Wednesday March 15, 2017.

Born in Boston, Jim was a graduate of BC High, and attended Wentworth Institute and Cambridge School of Radio/TV Broadcasting. As a youth he was active with the Boy Scouts, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. Jim served in the US Army and Army National Guard.

He was a retired Technical Engineering Librarian for the MBTA. Jim was active in many Saint Gregory Church, Dorchester events and taught CCD and volunteered for many political campaigns. He was a member of the D.A.V 39 in Randolph and K of C Council 180, Dorchester Lower Mills. Jim recently was a participant in the Hancock Park Day Health Program.

Beloved husband of the late Marcia A. (McGrail) Little. Father of James Little and his wife Janet of Norwood, Marcy Conley and her husband Kirk of Rockland, Christa Gambon and her husband Bill of Quincy, Susan Little of Mansfield, Debbie Werns and her husband Andy of Foxborough and Erin McQuaid and her husband Michael of West Roxbury. Grandfather of Katherine Little, Christina Gambon, Christopher Little, Thomas Little, Lauren Gambon, Liam Gambon, Trevor McQuaid, Brianna Conley, Ronan Werns and Brendan Werns.

Son of the late Martin and Margaret (Mulry) Little. Brother of Mary Theresa King of Amesbury and the late Monsignor Richard Little. James is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary’s Church, 95 Crescent Street, West Quincy, Monday March 20 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Sunday 2-6 PM. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
