William A. Ostiguy

Ostiguy_WilliampaersWilliam A. Ostiguy,  of Milton, formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2017.

Beloved husband of the late Honora E. “Dolly” (O’Brien) Ostiguy.  Devoted father of Beverly Curran and her husband Mark of Nashua, NH, Linda Upton of Lowell, Elaine Woodgate and her husband Brad of Duxbury, Angela Scannell and her husband Paul of Milton and the late Dr. James M. and Elaine Ostiguy.  Brother of the late Joseph Ostiguy and Doris Hendricks. Grandfather of Sadie and Michael Buonamano, Allison and Mark Steven Curran and Alicia Buonamano; Peter, Steven and Nathan Ostiguy; Amanda, Nicholas and Jillian Woodgate; Caroline, William and Katherine Scannell. Great-grandfather of  Riley, Michael and Olivia Buonamano.

Bill exemplified all the best qualities of being a husband, dad, grandfather, uncle  and friend.  He was a proud World War II Army Veteran.  Bill was a life-long employee of the New Haven, Penn Central and Conrail Railroads and esteemed President of the National Assoc. of Retired & Veteran Railways Employees for the past 21 yrs. He was a member of the Castle Island Association.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church, Milton, Friday March 3 at 11 o’clock. Visiting Hours Thursday, 3-7  PM at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE. Interment Milton Cemetery.
