Marguerite M. Riley
Riley Marguerite M. (Reen) of Milton formerly of West Roxbury died February 9, 2017. Beloved wife of Edwin J. “Ted” Riley III, DMD of Milton. Loving mother of Edwin J.Riley IV and his wife Erika of Milton and Annmarie Chase and her husband John of Millis. Cherished Nana of William, Keara, Shayla, Zachary Riley and Allison and Ashley Chase. Sister of James Reen and his wife Charlene of Norwood, Fr. Jeremiah Reen of Tampa, Florida and the late John Reen and Mary Ann Mulligan and their surviving spouses, Ellen Steele Reen and Thomas Mulligan. Daughter of the late Jeremiah and Ann Reen. Daughter-in-law of Claire F. Riley and the late Edwin Riley Jr.
Marguerite was born in Boston and lived in West Roxbury before settling in Milton. She worked as a hairdresser for many years. She was a caregiver, always making it a priority to help others and those in need. Marguerite was the center of the Riley, Reen and Mulligan family and she made it a priority to host frequent family gatherings including 29 nieces and nephews, 40 grand nieces and grand nephews and many friends. Family was the cornerstone of her life. Her generous and giving ways will always be remembered. She made a difference in so many lives. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30am in St. Pius X Church 101 Walcott Road, Milton. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8pm in the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, East Milton. Interment in Milton Cemetery, Milton. Donations in memory of Marguerite may be made to Stanley R. Tippett Home, 920 South Street, Needham, MA 02492.
