Geraldine (Jerry Runci) MacDonald age 69 of Quincy formerly of Dorchester died February 8, 2017. Jerry was an area resident her entire life. Daughter of the late Anna K. and Charles McCarthy. Beloved wife of the late William (Mickey) MacDonald. Loving mother of  Patricia  Bechtold, Denise and Tim Lyons all of Dorchester, Lisa MacDonald of Quincy and Maureen MacDonald of Brockton. Cherished Nana of Angella, Andrew, Nicole, John, Annamarie, Ian and  five great-grandchildren. Sister of Patricia Larkin, Joanne Burke, Kathleen Stout, Eugene, James, John, William, Richard and Maureen McCarthy and the late Robert, Charles and Thomas McCarthy. Jerry is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was a longtime resident of Dorchester before moving to Quincy 3 years ago. She was an avid Red Sox fan and she loved being a Nana! The most important aspect of her life was her family, She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved her.

A Mass Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday February 13, 2017 at 10:30AM in Saint Brendan Church, Gallivan Blvd. Dorchester. Visiting hours on Sunday 2-6PM in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, Dorchester Lower Mills. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
