Shirley F. McPherson, of Dorchester, died Saturday January 15, 2017.

Beloved wife of John McPherson. Loving mother of Lisa R. Hendricks and her husband Michael of Atlanta, Georgia. Sister of Claudell Baxter of Tacoma Washington, Nathan Murray of Springfield and Frank D. Murray Jr. of Boston. Cherished Nana of Myles Hendricks of Atlanta, Georgia. Shirley is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. She worked as a Home Health Aid for many years before retiring. Shirley was a devoted member of the Concord Baptist Church where she dedicated her time to working with the missionaries and singing in the choir. She had a love for people and was always there to give a helping hand to those in need, she was an ultimate caretaker. Shirley was a talented cook who loved to entertain for her family and friends. Most of all Shirley’s family was the most important aspect of her life. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation Saturday January 21 from 11:ooAM to 12 Noon at Concord Baptist Church, 180 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton. Funeral Service will follow at 12Noon in the Concord Baptist Church. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Boston.
