Anne “Nancy” O’Sullivan
Anne M. ” Nancy” (Ballantine) O’Sullivan, of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died January 27, 2017 surrounded by her family.
Beloved wife of the late Daniel O’Sullivan. Loving mother of Margaret “Peg” O’Sullivan of Brockton, Daniel O’Sullivan Jr. of Portsmouth, NH, Eileen Yameen and her husband James of Quincy, Joanne Healy and her husband Paul of Rockland, Annemarie Naughton and her husband Bill of Norwell and the late Mary and Anne O’Sullivan. Sister of Eleanor Ballantine, SC, of Quincy, John Ballantine of Great Falls, VA, and Frank Ballantine and his wife Susan of Brewster and the late Patricia Gallant and Elizabeth Joseph. Cherished grandmother of Samantha, Stefani and Ryan O’Sullivan, Daniel and Catherine Yameen, Glenn Healy, Hannah, Will, Brendan Naughton and the late Kayla Naughton.
Anne was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester. She was a graduate of Saint Patrick High School in Roxbury and attended Katharine Gibbs School in Boston. Anne and her husband Daniel raised their family on Robinson Street in Dorchester where they lived for many years before settling in Quincy. Anne took great pride in her home and enjoyed working on it inside and out to make it look beautiful. She was a devoted Catholic and a regular communicant at Saint Agatha Church in Milton. Most of all Anne loved her family who were the cornerstone of her life. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved her.
Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday January 31 at 10:30 AM in Saint Agatha Church, Milton. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM in the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Anne may be made to Mitochondrial Disease Awareness, Mass General Hospital, 55 Fruit Street, Boston, MA 02114.
