Ann M. (Malatesta) Long

Ann M. (Malatesta) Long, of East Dennis, formerly of Arlington and Pocasset, passed away peacefully January 19, 2017.

Beloved wife of the late James M. Long and daughter of the late Benjamin E. and Martha V. (Flynn) Malatesta.  Mother to M. Chrysa Long and her partner, James Riordan of Boston and Martha Long DiGregorio and her husband Richard of Norwell.  Loving grandmother of Mairead V. Reilly of Baltimore, James F. DiGregorio and Sarah C. DiGregorio, both of Norwell. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, Katherine Mattair of Irvine, CA and Arlene Savasta of Los Angeles, CA; brother-in-law David Long of Rotondo West, FL, many Long nieces and nephews and Malatesta cousins.

After retiring as Registrar of the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, Ann devoted her time to her love of art; volunteering for many years as a Docent at the Cape Cod Museum of Fine Arts and at the Edward Gorey House.

Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Tuesday, January 24th 3-7 p.m.  Relatives & friends invited.  The family will be gathering at St. Camillus Church, 1185 Concord Turnpike, Arlington on Wednesday, January 25th for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.   Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center or the Norwell Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice.
