Robert F. Pugsley

Robert F. Pugsley, a retired Boston Police Patrolman, died Sunday November 20, 2016. He was 85 years old.

Born in Boston and raised in the Savin Hill section of Dorchester, he graduated from Dorchester High School. Bob served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Upon discharge from the Army, he joined the Boston Police Department, where he served as a patrolman for 39 years, predominantly at District 3.

His family and his grandchildren were paramount in his life.

Beloved husband of the late Helen R. (Petrous) Pugsley. Loving father of Robert F. Pugsley Jr. and his wife Lori of Quincy, Christian J. Pugsley and his wife Tammy of Milton and Elizabeth Forrest and her husband Stephen of Arlington. Papa of Robert F. III, Rebecca, Molly, Luke, Andrew, Michael and Nicholas Pugsley, Zachary and Emma Forrest and great-grandfather of Robert F. IV “RJ” and Jamison Pugsley. Brother of John Pugsley of Scituate, Richard Pugsley of Dorchester, Dorothy Miller of Abington and the late Stanley Pugsley, Ernest Pugsley, Arthur Pugsley and Charles Pugsley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, Adams Street at Brook Road, Milton, Saturday November 26 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Friday 4-8 PM.
