McLeod, William J. of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died suddenly on September 4, 2016. Beloved son of the late Walter J. B. McLeod and Evelyn (McGahey) McLeod. Devoted brother of Rev. Frederick G. McLeod S.J. of Saint Louis, M.O., Richard W. McLeod and his wife Jane of East Falmouth, J. Robert McLeod and his wife Kathryn of South Weymouth. and the late Marjorie A. Costello and Carol A. Stanley. Cherished uncle of many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Billy, as he wished to be called, also leaves behind all his fellow runners from the L. Street Running Club who were very dear to him. Billy was a graduate of Don Bosco High School. He was a Foreman at Bay State Paper Co. Prior to that he was a thirty year employee of Phillips Manufacturing Co. Billy was an avid runner and was a long time member of the L. Street Running Club since 1988. He will be remembered as being a mentor to his fellow runners with his competitive nature and who was always there to help his fellow runners. Billy enjoyed a close relationship with his brothers and spending time with his extended family. He will be missed by his family and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John the Baptist Church, 22 School Street, Quincy on Monday September 12, 2016 at 11:30 Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours in the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, East Milton Square, Sunday 3 to 7PM. Private Interment will be at a later date.
