William G. Daly
William G. “Bill” Daly, age 62, a lifelong resident of Milton, after a courageous and relentless 3 year battle with cancer, Bill died peacefully on September 7th, surrounded by those that loved him most.
Bill was Janey’s beloved husband of 13 years. A devoted, involved and much loved parent to Bethany Ryan (Tim Ryan), Jonathan Daly (Brenna Kischuk), James Daly (Danielle Occhiogrosso), Liam Daly, Emily Hildebrand (Ben Walker), and Craig Hildebrand. He was the proud Gramps of Ava, Madeline and Viola. The son of the late John J. Daly and Doris (Mullen) Daly, Bill is survived by 4 siblings, Kathleen Lawlor of Mishawaka, IN, John J (Jack) Daly Jr. of New Carlisle, IN, Joan Maloney of Manchester, CT, Janet Tierney of Milton, MA, their spouses, children, and grandchildren. Bill also leaves behind a large extended family.
Bill loved to travel and was always happiest when surrounded by his family on an island. He loved gazing out over the water, body surfing, and walking the beach with us. He was an expert at spotting birds and the tell-tale water spouts of whales. Taking his granddaughters for ice cream at 9 in the morning, and buying the first round at 5 would mean a perfect day. Bill loved his life, his family, and his friends. He leaves us all heartbroken, but with many, many warm loving memories of the man he was.

I am so lucky to have formed a work friendship with Bill, he was more like a brother to me. Our friendship formed during the early years for both of us at Barrett as we leaned on each other during the very challenging times. It is Bill’s sense of humor, warmth, kindness and overall great personality that I will always remember him by. He was truly a wonderful person that I was lucky to share a few years with. Good Bye Bill you will always be thought of and missed! with much love, Deb
