Jean was my uncle. I am his brother Ed’s youngest son. When I was twelve years old, I spent some time with Uncle Jean at the Milton Fire Department. The experience left such an impression on me that I became a professional firefighter. Many years later when I promoted to Captain, Uncle Jean sent me his Class A fire hat which I proudly display in my office at Station One. I am happy for the few times that I had with him, and the impression that he left on me. I am very sorry for your loss. Matthew Noel Callahan, San Luis Obispo City Fire Dept. Local 3523
