Joseph F. Puliafico – of Braintree, formerly of Milton, Sept, 10, age 83. Joe was born and raised in Dorchester. He lived in Quincy prior to moving to Milton in 1971.

Joe was a graduate of State Teachers College of Boston and attended 1 year of graduate school.

He was a U S Army veteran of the Korean War. Joe was a founding partner in the Aegis Insurance Agency in Braintree, retiring in 1991. He spent part of the year in Ireland every year after retirement. He returned to live with his daughter in Braintree after ill health forced his return home from Ireland.

He was the beloved husband of the late Marie (Greene) Puliafico. Devoted father of Peggy Ciulla of Braintree, Joseph F. Puliafico, Jr. of Milford, Michael Puliafico of Milton, Maryanne Bagley of Braintree, Sarah Puliafico of Bridgewater, and Julie Mitchell of Bridgewater. Brother of Teresa Mauro and Carmello Puliafico both of Needham. Also survived by 12 grandchildren. Wonderful friend of Mairtin Griffin and the family of Muigh Inis, Ireland. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Centre St., Bridgewater, Friday , Sept. 16 at Noon. Interment Private.
