Britta, may you rest in peace. You were a dedicated teacher and cared deeply for all your students. Sending thoughts and prayers to family and friends.
Britta, You are loved dearly by Greg and I and Matthew and Michael. Thank you for the love and kindness you gave to our family. I have many fond memories of the time that we shared in Sweden together with my grand aunt Lilly. You are a great role model to me as you have demonstrated how to live and love people as a great woman of God.
You were determined and persevered through trials when you were disabled. Now I am happy that you are dancing in heaven. With much love and thanks, Diane.
To Family, Friends, and Everyone else, related to Britta:
Please receive my heartfelt condolences and sympathy for the passing of dear and beloved Britta Karlsson whom I got to know through Park Street Church, Boston back in 1972. Being an international herself from Sweden, she picked up my vision quickly and always was willing to help out in my mission outreach to international students at the universities and colleges of Boston, especially, at at Northeastern U. where she was a faculty of Medical Sciences. Then, she also became a faculty adviser to me as I developed the mission services to international students through Park Street Church, Boston. By the enabling Grace of our Lord, I served there for 27 years forming the FOCUS outreach program=Friendship for Overseas College and University Students. She was on my FOCUS Advisory Committee and the International Leadership Team. I thank God for her vital roll throughout my tenure at Park Street Church, Boston. Before I left there end of 1998, she worked hard developing a historic compendium of FOCUS Time Line which has become her legacy. She left a copy at the Church and a copy with Chairman Charles Larson and a copy given to me at the farewell Banquet which I treasure in my personal library. I am now retired in Toronto, Canada after serving another twelve years of similar mission work with I.S.M.C. I thank God for Britta’s strong faith in Christ and her labor of love to help international students and scholars in Boston. I believe she is now with her Redeemer Lord Jesus Christ and all those redeemed Saints enjoying new eternal life in Heaven. Britta had a caring heart to see more internationals come to living and active faith in the Risen Lord and Coming King Jesus Christ. She would love to meet you also someday up there. Are you ready to meet the Lord when He Comes or when He calls you sooner? May God bless you also with this living Hope that Britta had in Jesus Christ. Joe Sabounji
Britta, you will be remembered as a guiding force by all the students in the Medical Technology Program at Northeastern University. You were a great role model as you helped us through the strenuous courses beginning as Freshmen right through to graduation. You steered us toward a well respected professional career and we thank you for this.
We will miss you dearly.
Rest in Peace Britta
Britta, ever since we met each other at the Covenant Congregational Church at Forest Hills when we were in the eighth grade, and I learned you were a cousin from Sweden, you have amazed me with all the things you have accomplished. Your big get-together with all our Swedish relatives at West Newton, your ambitious research on our genealogy, inspired my daughters. It was so nice to just sit with you in your dining room and have a “cafe Med dop” . It was amazing how you kept working and didn’t let your stroke stop you.We loved to read your Christmas cards with your stories of growing up in Sweden. You were such a good daughter to Lily and Folke. I will really miss you. God bless.
I was the first student to graduate from Northeastern University in the Cytotechnology degree program and Britta was an advisor to me,I will never forget her sincere kindness and guidance,I took her hematology course and loved every minute of it,I used it quite often in my profession,I will always remember her warmth and kindness,we were all lucky to have had her in Boston.
