Arturo Arciniegas of Milton, Aug. 15, beloved husband of Lucia Tafur de Arciniegas. Devoted father of Matilde Arciniegas and her husband Fernando Moreno of Takoma Park, MD, Diego Arciniegas and his husband David Fonte of Boston, and raconteur Grandfather to Rafael and Cristina Moreno both of Takoma Park, MD. A Memorial Mass will be held in St Anne’s Church, Readville Sat. Aug. 20, 11 a.m. Memorial Visiting Hours in the Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Ave., MILTON VILLAGE, Fri. 3-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arturo’s name may be sent to the St Joseph’s Indian School, 1301 N. Main St., Chamberlain SD 57325.

I have many fond memories of visiting the Arciniegas home while at University. Arturo (& Lucia) were always so warm and welcoming. Arturo taught me the yummy art of eating the crunchy rice in the bottom of the pan. He was a sweet soul. Our condolences to the family.
