Rosemary (Wenzler) Wright

Rosemary (Wenzler) Wright, “Rory” to family, of Quincy, died after an 18 month battle with cancer, February 27, 2016. She was courageous to the end and an inspiration to her sisters.

Born at Saint Margaret’s Hospital in Dorchester on May 13, 1958 to the late Francis J. and Rosemary (Neagle) Wenzler. Rory grew up in Milton and attended The Vose School and The Daley School. After she finished school she worked at the Carney Hospital as a Nurses Aide for many years. She loved working on the pediatric floor with all of the babies and children.

Rory leaves behind two sons, Paul Wright of Quincy, wife Jeanie and grandchildren Steven, Jake, Sean and Sara and John Wright of Hanson, wife Amy and grandchildren Nickolas, Charlotte and Brian and sisters Maureen Buckley of Marlborough, Deborah Wenzler of Scituate and Beth Corey of Wilsonville, OR and many nieces and nephews.

Rory was an avid fan of Lawrence Welk and loved playing Bingo. When she won any money you would think she on the lottery! Rory volunteered at South Shore Elder Care and at Carney Hospital before becoming sick. She loved getting out and helping people.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church, Milton, Saturday March 5 at 11:00 AM. Visiting hour at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, 9:30 – 10:30 AM. Interment Milton Cemetery.
