Inniss, Maxine of Dorchester, passed away March 23, 2016 peacefully with her family by her side.  Beloved daughter of Roy L. and Judian (Perry) Inniss of Dorchester.  Loving sister of Marsha Inniss-Mitchell and her husband Dorsey, Melissa Inniss, Myrnelle  Inniss, and Michela  Inniss all of Dorchester, Furgusson Inniss of Clermont, FL and Cuthbert Nelson of Point Fortin, Trinidad.  Cherished aunt of Meikal, Khyla, Kwalib, J’arah, Jaya, Dorsey Christopher, Myles, Saran, Sherlon, Akhim, and Jazz.  Best friend of John McGovern of West Hollywood, CA, and special friend to Shane Davis of Quincy, MA.

Born in San Fernando, Trinidad, Maxine immigrated to Boston, Ma at a young age. The eldest of five sisters, she was a perfect role model, and had loving, positive, protective and strong spirit. Maxine was a passionate vocalist with early training at the New England Conservatory of Music.  A state track and field champion at Newton North High School, she received a full sports scholarship to attend Boston University, and later earned a Master’s Degree from NYU in Interactive Communications. She loved to create beautiful things, and was an independent design consultant for many years building websites and marketing materials for her clients.  Most recently, Maxine transitioned to the non-profit sector, supporting the mission of Healthworks Community Fitness, while working on her doctoral degree. She enjoyed organizing birthdays and fun outings for her nieces and nephews, taking pictures of her family, wrapping gifts at Christmas and dining out with those near and dear to her. She also leaves a huge extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins to celebrate her life, and a network of close friends.

Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend the visitation in the Berea Seventh Day Adventist Church, 108 Seaver Street, Dorchester, Thursday March 31, 2016  10:00AM-11:00AM.  A Service will follow at 11:00AM.  Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.  See www.dolanfuneral.com for online condolences and directions.
