Brian P. Carlson

Carlson, Brian P for website onlyBrian P. Carlson, 38, of Quincy, formerly of Milton, died unexpectedly after a lengthy and courageous battle with addiction, Monday January 18, 2016.

Brian grew up in Milton playing baseball for numerous town teams and was a graduate of Milton High School, Class of 1996 where he was a star pitcher for the varsity baseball team. Brian proudly joined the USMC and served in CA from 1996 to 2000.  He was honored to serve as a firefighter on the Milton Fire Department for 9 years.  Anyone who knew Brian knew he was a man who would gladly give the shirt off his back.  He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved telling a good passionate story, talking baseball or football, and greeting his family and friends with huge hugs, but there was nothing that brought him more joy than being with his beloved sons.  He will be greatly missed.

Loving and devoted husband of Kathleen “Katie” (Feehily) Carlson of Quincy and proud and amazing Dad of Colin Patrick and Declan Michael. Son of Kathleen (Carroll) Carlson of Milton and the late Walter A. Carlson. Brother of John “Jack” T. Carlson and his wife Kathleen of Milton, Kathleen “Kassie” Hunt and her husband Doug of Milton. Son-in-law of Michael and Janet Feehily of Quincy, brother-in-law of Michael J. and his wife Michelle Feehily of Scituate and Kerry Curley and her husband John of Milton. Loving Uncle of 12 and also survived by many loving relatives and old friends.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation period at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Thursday from 4-8 PM. Funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday, January 22 at 11:00 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Agatha Church, Adams Street at Brook Road, Milton at 12 Noon. Burial with Military Honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Monday, January 25th at 1:45 PM.
