Kathryn Kelly Murphy
Kathy Kelly Murphy of Dorchester, and Fountain Hills AZ. Kathy was called to heaven on Monday Nov.2, All Souls day. Kathy is survived by her mother Florence Kelly and the late Paul Kelly of Dorchester, sister of Janice Duval and her husband Robert of New Bedford, John Kelly and his wife Michelle of Weymouth, Anne Flaherty and her husband Joseph of Marshfield, and Eileen Foscaldo and her husband David of Foxboro. Kathy was an amazing aunt to Kelly, Katie, Brendan, Julianne, Caroline, Shannon, Olivia and Jack. She is also survived by many cousins and hundreds of loving friends.
Kathy was an avid Boston sports fan! Although she lived in Arizona, her love for Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox was unfounded. She enjoyed her daily 5 mile walk through the hot deserts of Scottsdale always wearing one of her Red Sox hats to keep from sun burning. Taking in the AAA baseball games with her “work friends”, and bowling with the gang in AZ. Most importantly Her long time love the Kansas City Royals finally won the world series… She was energetic, and sassy, never losing her “Dorchester Edge”, and always thought of others before herself. Kathy’s love of family and friends gave her life meaning. Her brother and sisters and nieces and nephews filled her life with love, She was most proud of her lifelong friendship with grade school friends, Vida, Annette, Meg, and Debbie, and her Arizona friends Diana, Nancy, Joshua, and Rene and many more. She will be missed immensely. . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Gregory’s Church, DORCHESTER on Fri., Nov. 6, at 9 o’clock. Visiting Hours in the Dolan Funeral Home 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Thurs. 4 – 8pm. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. If desired contributions in Kathy’s memory may be sent to the Pat Roche Hospice House, c/o NVA and Hospice, 120 Longwater Dr., Norwell, MA 02061. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham, MA, 02046.

Rest In Peace my friend
I am so sorry for your loss! Kathy was such a positive, happy person who never showed any negativity. I have many fond memories of her from St. Gregory’s Grammar School as well as High School. Heaven certainly gained an angel…she will be missed by so many.
God Bless

I’m sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing. I worked with Kathy at Vanguard, although my desk is in Pennsylvania I’ve had the pleasure of working with Kathy on many occasions. I was privileged to meet with her in person on several occasions while in Arizona. I know that Kathy will be missed so much, her laughter was contagious and she was always there to help me and anyone who asked. God bless all Kathy’s family and friends, have comfort that she is with our Lord Jesus Christ in paradise.
We are very sorry for your loss. We are thinking of you all and praying you can find some comfort in all the happy memories you all have had together.
I am just broken hearted by the untimely death of my niece, Kathy. It is so surreal. Kathy had such a kind and gentle soul. We lived in the same town of Fountain Hills, AZ. She used to take care of my kitty whenever I would travel….she adored her and often threatened to “steal her”! I am so deeply saddened for her family back in Boston and I send my sincerest condolences to everyone. I write this with a very heavy heart…. Kathy, you were taken way too soon…..may you now rest in Heavenly peace. Hugs! >^..^<
