Michael J. Costello, Age 91, of Milton, formerly of Liscuib, Ballymacward, County Galway, Ireland, died peacefully October 15, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of 54 years to Catherine (Foley) Costello. Loving father of Ellen Donovan and her husband Edward, Michael Costello and his wife Nancy, John Costello and his wife Shannon, Bernadette McEvoy and her husband Jack, and Marlene Mason and her husband Steven, all of Milton, Anne O’Malley and her husband Martin of Duxbury and Kathleen Krivelow and her husband Steven of Norwell. Cherished grandfather of Edward, Michael and Brendan Donovan, Sarah, Michael and Daniel Costello, Martin and Ruairi O’Malley, Joseph Krivelow, John, Olivia, Caroline and Joseph Costello, Greta, Owen and Luke McEvoy, Steven and Patrick Mason. Son of the late Thomas and Ellen (Keane) Costello of County Galway, Ireland. Brother of James Costello of Duxbury, Mary (Chris) O’Brien of Marshfield, Nancy Townley of Nebraska, Teresa Costello S.P, of Indiana, Margaret Boyd of Weymouth, Agnes Pouliot of Whitman, Thomas Costello of Whitman and the late John and Patrick (Eddie) Costello. Michael is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Michael was born and raised in Ireland. He was a contractor in the Boston area for many years. Although he was very dedicated to his work, Michael was a true family man. He enjoyed every gathering and precious moment with his family. He always had a special place in his heart for his seven children and eighteen grandchildren. Michael will be missed by many friends and relatives in both the U.S. and Ireland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, Adams Street at Brook Road, Milton, Wednesday October 21 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON, Tuesday 4-8 PM. Interment in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
