Peter J. Delaney, of Milton, at the age of 81, September 28, 2015. Entered into rest at the Newton Wellesley Center for Alzheimer’s Care in the presence of his two sons and a caring staff. Beloved husband of Dorothy J. (Rose) Delaney of Milton. Devoted father of Brian M. Delaney of Quincy and David S. Delaney of Dorchester. Dear brother of Barbara Benson of Braintree, James T. Delaney Jr of Salem and Stephen Delaney of Falmouth. Loyal employee of the former Boston Edison Company for 38 years, where he made many kind friends. Private interment services were held at Milton Cemetery

I am very sorry to learn of your father’s passing. Of the many, many Boy Scout Troop 3 dads, he was a strong and steadfast supporter of the program, and more importantly to you. I will always remember him as a gentle and quiet man with a view, in more than one way.
