William Edmeade

William Edmeade 83, was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. On August 13th 2015, he was called home and entered the gates of his eternal resting place knowing that that he was grounded on the solid rock of the Lord Jesus.

William “John Hardy “Edmeade was born on the beautiful island of Montserrat, B.W.I. to parents of Mary Baker and Patrick Edmeade. He migrated to England in 1955 and met the love of his life Mildred Stanley. During this time, William worked as a Postal Worker, a door to door salesman as well as a double decker bus driver for the London Transport. On March 29th 1962, they wed and have 2 wonderful sons Keith and Paul Edmeade. On October 1st 1970, William migrated again to Boston Mass with his wife and his 2 sons making sure that is family had the life that he dreamed of. They also welcomed Colin Patrick and Jacqueline Monique in to the family years later. From there, William worked at Massachusetts General Hospital as a housekeeper. On June of 1972, William started at New England Medical Center as a delivery driver where he worked for over 20 years until his retirement.

After his retirement, William Edmeade joined the Monserrat Aspirers Community Center. William often dedicated his time to the Monserrat Aspirers Community Center and could be seen on many Friday and Saturday nights playing dominoes, serving drinks to patrons or providing general upkeep.

William Edmeade was proceeded in death by his mother Mary Baker and his father Patrick Edmeade. William is survived by his wife, Mildred, his sons Keith Anthony, Paul Adriane, Colin Patrick and Jacqueline Monique Edmeade; his grandson Antonio Orlando Andrade Edmeade and Isabella Elizabeth Edmeade, as well as a daughter in law Stephanie Kitz Edmeade. William is also survived by his sister Ann Welch, as well as his nieces and nephews as well as many countless cousins and friends.

We will miss him greatly but heaven is rejoicing and welcoming him with open arms. We love you and we celebrate your life, your loves and your legacy. The Funeral service will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., LOWER MILLS, Saturday at 11AM. Visitation will begin at 10AM.
