Walter J. McCann
Walter J. McCann of Weymouth, formerly of South Boston and Quincy, passed away on March 20,2015 after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family at the age of 65. He was retired from MIT after working there for many years as a plumber. Walter enjoyed playing cards, watching his beloved Patriots and spending time with his family. Devoted son of the late Leo and Mary (Leach) McCann. Beloved husband of Linda (Bradford) McCann. Loving father of Patrick McCann and his loving companion Samantha Palmer of Quincy, Alyson Kutz and her husband Jeff of North Andover, Ryan and Courtney McCann of Weymouth. Loving Step-Dad of James Bradford and his wife Meghan of Wilmington, John Bradford and his loving companion Melissa Campbell of Abington, Laura Bradford Brasile and her husband Scott of Weymouth and Ryan Bradford of Weymouth. Loving brother of Leo McCann and his wife Pamela of Plainville, Patricia Burke and her husband Robert of Pembroke and the late Kevin McCann. Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and devoted friend Taylor Ahearn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 55 Commercial Street, Weymouth Landing, Wednesday March 25 at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON, Tuesday 4 to 8 PM. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers remembrances in Walter’s name may be made to the South Shore VNA, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370-1055.

So very sorry to hear of Walter’s demise. Went to St Ann’s School in Wollaston with him.
Walter was a wonderful person whom I consider lucky to have known. May he rest in peace. My sincere condolences to his family.
