I just heard the sad news about my ‘Auntie Isabel’ as we affectionately called her. (Isabel was like our aunt, although not really).
I have wondered what had become of ‘Mrs. McGowan’ since I hadn’t heard anything in decades. Both my mother, Georgia Whipple Foley, and my Aunt Virginia Whipple Donahue often took us to visit them at their Milton home. And we looked forward to seeing them for the same week every year at 98 Commercial Street when we were on vacation. I’ll always remember Isabel’s laugh!
