Irene M. (Drotos) Barry died at Copley at Stoughton, Monday March 30, 2015. She was 94 years old.
Born in New Bedford, Irene was a resident of Dorchester and Quincy. She had served as president of the Tobin Towers Association and enjoyed family gatherings, specifically cooking and baking for Sunday dinners. Mrs. Barry was a Gold Star Mother.
Beloved wife of the late George F. Barry, a former owner of the family run Barry’s Delicatessen. Loving mother of Diane M. Kimball and her husband Robert of Stoughton and the late Chief Warrant Officer George F. Barry Jr, US Army. Grandmother of Lisa Gowern and her husband Greg, Lynn Livingston and her husband Rob and Scott Kimball. Great-grandmother of Abigail and Allison Gowern and Samuel Robert Livingston.
Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Thursday 3-7 PM. Private interment Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.

Please know how sorry we are for your loss and that of the entire Barry Family. Aunt Irene was truly a caring individual. Her ability to nurse people back to health was seen over the decades. We will always remember her unbounding energy in everything she did including her polka dancing. Rest in Peace Aunt Irene.
