Frances G. Harrington, died at Marian Manor, South Boston, surrounded by her loving family, Monday March 23, 2015.

Born and raised in Dorchester, she was a graduate of the Boston Public Schools and clerical school. Mrs. Harrington was an administrative assistant for the US attorney to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and retired as an administrative assistant for the Boston Public Schools.

Mrs. Harrington was an active participant in the Thursday morning sing-a-long with the Quincy Elder Services at the Kennedy Center and until recently enjoyed the bi-monthly luncheons of St. Mark’s Girl Scout Troop #7 and #11.

She was a Quincy resident for over 60 years and had been the choir director at Sacred Heart Church, North Quincy for over 25 years. She and her late husband, Vincent Harrington, enjoyed traveling to Ireland, Italy, France and Germany.

Harrington Jr. of Berkeley, CA, Ellen Harrington McCarthy of Haymarket, VA, Virginia Harrington Culgin of Squantum and the late Justin L. Harrington. Grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 8. Sister of the late Catherine Garvin, Elizabeth Lynch, Thomas D. Garvin, Mary R. Bouchie, Alice McHale, Ann E. Garvin, Peter F. Garvin Jr, Margaret Duggan and Joseph Garvin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock Street, North Quincy Friday March 27 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON, Thursday 4-8 PM. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
