Sonia “Manmisoune” Petit Faustin, 81, fell asleep in death at 9:56 PM, Saturday, February 7, 2015, from a heart attack at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Sonia was born on Wednesday, December 27, 1933 in South St. Louis, Haiti. A devoted mother who loved her family, being an only child, she yearned for a large family. Her family’s spiritual protector, she is survived by 6 children with 2 spouses, 11 grandchildren with 2 spouses, 2 great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives. Before immigrating to Boston, she was an Archivist for the Department of Interior for the State Department of Haiti. In America, she worked as nursing assistant and a teacher’s aide. She was an involved mother who loved her large family.

Manmisoune was a passionate woman who loved life, her love for people was unconditional, demonstrated by her need to share the good news of God’s kingdom with everyone she met. Realizing a life-long goal, she embraced the pioneer service in the latter years of her life. She attended pioneer school in 2007. Zealous, spiritual and loving, her impact was far reaching, assisting many in learning the truth. Her presence will be greatly missed in the lives of the countless family and friends she aided with her soothing words and practical advice.

Funeral Service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 230 Wood Ave., Hyde Park, MA on Saturday February 14 at 10:30 AM.  Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St. DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Friday 6-10 PM.  Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery.  50 Canterbury St. Boston. MA.
