Pamela M. Bent

Pamela M. (Dubzinski) Bent, 71, of Milton Massachusetts, died on Thursday, February 19, 2015 with her loving family at her side.  Pam was born on July 23, 1943 in Gardner, Massachusetts and was the beloved daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (O’Hearn) Dubzinski. Pam was raised in Gardner and was a graduate of Gardner High School, Class of 1961. She also graduated from Regis College, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She later graduated from Boston College with a Master of Arts degree in English and from Simmons College with a Master of Arts degree in Library Science.

 

 Pam worked many years as a teacher and school librarian in the school systems of Rockland, Weymouth, Brockton, Boston, and Gardner. She retired from the Gardner Middle School as a school librarian in 2004.

 

 In addition to her parents, Pam is predeceased by her husband of nearly 36 years, C. Frederick Bent, who died in February of 2006.  Pam is survived by her loving and devoted children, Jonathan M. Bent of Milton and Courtney B. Winter and her husband Anthony of Boston.  A source of continued wonder and love were her beloved grandchildren, Annie, Julia, Jack, and Luke Winter. In addition she leaves her loving siblings, Walter J. Dubzinski, Jr., and his wife Irene of Gardner, John Dubzinski and his wife Donna of Leominster, and Anne Jasinski and her husband John of Templeton. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Pam will always be remembered for her unfailing love and devotion to her family, in particular, to her children who were the center of her world. She was a doting and involved grandmother, a steadfast caregiver to her beloved parents in their later years and a loyal and kind sister, aunt, and friend. Her presence will forever be missed and her memory will remain in our hearts forever.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 28 at 11:00 in Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell Street, Gardner. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours have been omitted.
