Wilbert McPherson, of Boston, died at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on January 10, 2015.  He was the husband of the late Cecil Mae (Washington ) McPherson.

Born in Fayette, NC on August 4, 1940, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Essie (Simmons) McPherson.  Mr. McPherson had been a manager for General Motors before retirement.

He was the father of Brian McPherson and his wife Mariaelena of Boston, Wilma McPherson and her husband Frantz Massse of NJ and the late Ronald McPherson.  Brother of John McPherson of Boston, Frank McPherson of Greensboro, NC, Larry McPherson of Boston, Mary Ann Carter of Brockton, Ester McPherson of NC and Darius McPherson of Atlanta, GA.  Grandfather of  Brianna McPherson, Josha McPherson, Zoe Masse, Olivia Masse, Daniel Roman, Reinaldo Roman, Kyleen Roman, Emmanuel Vega, and Kylies Matos.  Also survived by his adopted granddaughter Naijah Marie Forrest, Godson Eric Dias, and Goddaughter Andrea Swain.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17 at 11:00 AM at Concord Baptist Church,  180 Blue Hill Ave., Milton.  Relatives and friends invited to attend.  Burial will be private.
