Sr. Mary Clara Tierney mfic, 95, a member of the Missionary Franciscan Sisters, died in Framingham, Massachusetts, Saturday January 3, 3015.  She had been living in Our Lady of the Angels Convent in Tenafly, NJ, since 1990. Sister was born in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland in 1919. She came to the United States in 1938 and began her teaching career in Brooklyn, NY. Most recently Sister Clara spent her free time gardening. She loved growing flowers and vegetables, which gave her delight and gladdened so many more. Sister also volunteered in our Gift Shop with Sr. Trinity. There will be a Bible Service on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Convent, 253 Knickerbocker Road, Tenafly, NJ.
