Bishop Hersey Lee Mitchell Jr.
Hersey L. Mitchell Jr. passed away December 28, 2014. Beloved husband of Mary (Beasley) Mitchell. Devoted father of Teresa Petrice, Hersey Cole Mitchell, Joan Cousin, and Bernadette Holder. Loving brother of Jacob, Charlie, Volia, Virginia, and Nancy Mitchell. Caring grandfather to his 8 grandchildren. He is also survived my many other relatives and friends. A visiting hour will be held at Morning Star Baptist Church on Saturday, January 3rd at 10AM. The funeral service will begin immediately after at 11AM.

You have my deepest and sincere sympathy. I was deeply saddened to hear about Bishop’s departure. I know how difficult this must be for you. Bishop was a kind and gentle soul and his singing touched me deeeply, which I will never forget. Bishop has made his exit from this earthly realm of life to the entrance of God’s heavenly realm. I encourage you to draw on the strength of of your family and friends, as Bishop is looking down on you with his beautiful smile and of course “singing”.
