Rosemarie L. Sullivan
Rosemarie L. (Lynch) Sullivan of Milton and Cotuit. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, mentor and confidant, died at Harbor House Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hingham on Wednesday October 1, 2014. She was 91 years old.
Born in Boston and raised in Dorchester, she was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Roxbury and Emmanuel College, Boston. Her first commitment was to the love of her family. She raised six children, nurtured nineteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sullivan was very active with the Milton-Dorchester Physicians’ Wives Group towards the betterment and development of Carney Hospital. She was an avid golfer and Boggle devotee.
Beloved wife of the late Arthur E. Sullivan, MD. Loving mother of David G. Sullivan of New Bedford, Arthur E. Sullivan Jr. and his wife Teri of Langdon, NH, Christopher L. Sullivan and his wife Maura of Hingham, Mark A. Sullivan and his wife Clara Ines of Cotuit, Julie Sullivan Sorgi and her husband David of Hingham and Maryann J. Macdonald and her husband Alan of Hingham. Sister of the late John Lynch, Edward Lynch and Eileen Lynch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, 432 Adams Street, Milton, Saturday, October 4 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON, from 8:30-10:00 AM prior to the funeral mass. Interment Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation in Rosemarie’s name may be made to Notre Dame Academy, 1073 Main Street, Hingham, MA 02043.
