Joseph F. DiFilippo, 101, of Milton passed away on September 4th.  Beloved husband of the late Theresa (Bertorelli) DiFilippo.  Loving father of Anne Basiliere and her husband Robert of Hanover.  Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces with whom he shared many wonderful and happy memories.  Joseph was a World War II Army veteran and a Bronze Star recipient.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory’s Church, 2223 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester on Monday at 11 A.M.  Relatives and friends invited.  Visiting hours will be held in the Dolan-Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Avenue, MILTON VILLAGE prior to the service from 9:00 – 10:30 A.M.  Interment Milton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers a donation in  Joseph’s name may be made to The Lawrence M. DiFilippo Scholarship Fund, Yale University, P.O. Box 2038, New Haven, CT 06521-2038.
