Jean A. Forde
On January 4, 1945, Jean Forde, was born to Ruby Carter and Ivan Dottin in Christ Church, Barbados, West Indies.
After finishing her schooling, Jean left Barbados in the early „60s to make a way for herself. She lived and worked in Cambridge, Massachusetts for many years. After a trip back home to visit family, she met and married her future husband, Maitland Forde.
They both returned to Cambridge, to start their lives as newlyweds, and soon after to begin raising their children Rawlson, David, Ingrid and Sharon.
I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4:7)
She surrendered to the will of God and peacefully departed to receive his just reward during the early hours on Monday, August 25, 2014.
Left behind to cherish her memory, include her grandchildren Donisha Dottin (of Barbados), Amani Dale, Caleb “Eli” Medley, Zakiya Dottin, Marcho Bazile Dottin; great-grandchildren Devonte, Rivaldo, Josiah and a whole host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Wake will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00am at Morning Star Baptist Church, 1257 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan, MA. Reverend Gary Adams, officiating. Interment, Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
