Helen U. (Crowley) Barron, R.N.
Helen U. (Crowley) Barron, retired R.N. at Carney Hospital for 40 years, of Dorchester, on Thursday, August 7, 2014. Born in Norwood she was the daughter of the late James and May (Fitzpatrick) Crowley.
Helen grew up in Stoughton and was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School and Laboure College. Certified in Rieki, Helen was also a lifelong animal lover and volunteered for Eskies On Line Dog Rescue.
Helen was the loving mother of Susan M. Barron of Randolph, Paul J. Barron of Dorchester and James E. Barron of Honolulu, HI. and the late Patricia Barron and Michael Barron. Sister of Anne Calcaterra of Arlington and James Crowley and his wife Eileen of Stoughton. Dear aunt to several nieces and nephews. Beloved grandmother of Robert Barron, Jesse Phelps, Luke Barron, Matthew Barron, Tracey Barron and Edward Barron. Survived by 6 great grandchildren. Helen also leaves many treasured life long friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Gregory Church, 2223 Dorchester Ave., Dorchester on Wednesday, August 13 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday, 4-8 PM in Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St. DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton .
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Helen’s memory may be made to Red Cloud Indian School, 100 Mission Drive, Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota 57770 or Tomten Farm & Sanctuary, P.O. Box 58, Bolton, MA 01740.

Helen even though I knew you from your memories reflection on all your pictures, I am glad to know you. A life full of joy, happiness and celebration! I thank God and I thank you every day to know you and your family through Paul Barron. Your son’s gave us his greatest gift ever, especially me, my livelihood here in Massachusetts. He gave us the greatest deal of his time during my struggle in year 2012. I thank you so much for it; for his care and his willingness to do so. My husband and I are so grateful for your share on this regard. I believe things happened for reasons, I could not be more grateful to know you, your son and your family. God bless and RIP.
