Janice K. Walwood
Janice Kickham Walwood passed away peacefully at her home in Milton on May 21, 2014. Mrs. Walwood was born in Boston and raised in Jamaica Plain and Scituate. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard H. Walwood, her parents Margaret and Charles Kickham, sister Martha Sullivan and brother Charles Kickham. She is survived by siblings Penelope (Reilly), Margaret ( Kickham Grady), Michael, and James, her five children Susan, Richard, Peter, Janice and Julie and grandchildren Richard, Abraham, and Luke. Mrs. Walwood was a graduate of the Holy Cross Academy of Newton and Lesley College. She was an elementary school teacher in Waltham and Boston Public Schools, taught special education in Milton Public Schools and most recently taught at St Mary’s in West Quincy. She was an avid swimmer, golfer and tennis player and enjoyed many sunny beach days with her large and loving family and circle of friends at the family beach house in Scituate. Janice was known for her kindness and caring and for her uproarious sense of humor and lighthearted approach to life. She was a former member of the Scituate Yacht Club, Hatherly Country Club, and The Milton Hoosic Club. She was a Eucharistic minister at Saint Elizabeth’s Parish in Milton, and volunteer at Milton Hospital. A celebration of her life will take place at Saint Elizabeth’s Church, corner of Reedsdale Road and Randolph Avenue in Milton on Wednesday May 28th at 10 A.M. Friends and relatives invited. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON, from 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday May 27th. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution in Janice’s name may me sent to The Magical Moon Foundation, National Office, PO Box 83, Marshfield Hills, MA 02051or a donation may be made via phone by calling 800- 840-0205.

What can one say about someone who was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother, teacher, friend, and character all packaged in one very special person except thank you Aunt Janice, we love you and you will be sorely missed.
