Percy Marchan
Mr. Percy Marchan “Junior”, was born in Whiteland, Trinidad on June 20, 1958 to Mazie and the late Harry Marchan. Percy was the fourth child of six. He was educated in the Trinidad Public School System and would later graduate from St. Benedict’s College.
In April 1977, Percy emigrated to the United States of America with his siblings. He was the first employed by Honeywell Bull Corporation where he worked for approximately 10 years. His next and final employment was at National Grid where he worked for over 25 years.
In 1982 Percy met Jennifer Roberts and fell deeply in love with her and her family. Jennifer’s five children adored him as well. Percy and Jennifer always remained forever in love and eternally committed to each other. From their union, one son, Devon, was born in 1991. Percy was warm, kind, and loving and was enjoyed by his family and friends.
An avid New England Patriots fan, Percy and Jennifer traveled to London in 2012 to see their team play. On that trip, Percy decided to take his lovely wife to Paris, the city of love.Annually in June, Percy and Jennifer would travel abroad on their anniversary. They enjoyed a lovely life together.
Percy is survived by his mother Mazie Marchan, his wife Jennifer and their children, Dexter, Dionne and her husband Renald, Dolores, Dallas, Darrell and his wife Neetu and Devon. He was the grandfather of Simone and Jarvis. His siblings Herman and his wife Lancie, Stephen and his wife Sally, Pat and her husband Curtis, Roger and Ronald and his wife Cherena. Uncle of Abeni, Ayoka and many others. Great uncle of several. Brother-in-law of Michael Norville and his wife Joan and Winslow Roberts, and a host of cousins both here and in Trinidad.
Percy will never be forgotten and was a very loving man who always gave his best.
Funeral Service in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Monday March 31 at 11 o’clock. Visiting Hours Mon., 10 – 11 am. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.

I have known Percy for many years from working at Bostan Gas, Keyspan and National Grid. He is a good man who will be greatly missed.
