Brunette Jean-Pierre
At the age of 106, Brunette Jean-Pierre passed away on March 11 at St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation Center, Dorchester, MA. Brunette was born in Haiti on April 14, 1907 and as a teenager, she went to vocational school to be a dressmaker. She also helped build a school in Cap Haitian. Brunette moved to Boston in 1976, and was an active member of the First Haitian Baptist Church in Dorchester. She is survived by her children: Pierre, Immacula, Marie Gose, Helene, and Gabriel, her grandchildren: Margery, Vignoble, Bert, Elizabeth, Myrlene, Christopher, Marie, Ennette, Gabriel Junior, Emmanuel, and Rudelyne, her great-grandchildren: Ruby, Jahsmyne, Abigail, Antoine Benjamin, Jamal, and Leah, and extended family members. Funeral Services will be held at the First Haitian Baptist Church, 397 Blue Hill Ave., Dorchester on Saturday March 22, at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be Friday March 21, from 7 – 9 pm in the church. She will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Cemetery. The Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., Dorchester is assisting the family with arrangments.
