Liam will be remembered very dearly by me as he was the one who brought me into Skal Boston in 1980.
May he rest in peace.
I met Liam when I was in my early 20s working at Aer Lingus. He was famous among the staff. We quickly established a rapport which over the years became a true bond of friendship. I spoke of Liam as a mentor that changed my life, he encouraged me at times when I had little faith in myself. He believed in me. I went back to school and got my degree because of Liam’s encouragement and faith in me. I visited Liam whenever I was in town and was deeply saddened to hear he had passed. It’s left me with a heavy heart, Liam was a grandfather to me- family, in every sense of the word. I am blessed to have known him and his spirit will stay with me always. May he rest in peace.
