Sister Bridget Lennon, mfic, of Newton, a beloved member of the Missionary Franciscan Sisters for 63 years, died on February 24, 2014 at Saint Patrick’s Manor in Framingham. She was the loving daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Ellen (Nicholson) Lennon, sister of Eileen O’Dwyer, Cathy Maher, Nora McManus, Maureen Carty, Chris Reid; Paddy Joe, Michael, Jimmy, Willie and the late Tommy Lennon. Sister Bridget is also survived by several nieces and nephews, her extended family and her Missionary Franciscan Sisters. A wake will be held in the Chapel at Mount Alvernia Convent, 790 Centre Street, Newton, MA 02458 on Thursday, 4-7PM with a Prayer Service at 6:30PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 28 at 10:00AM at the chapel. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
