Marie A. Devaris
Mrs. Marie A. Devaris, born Andrea Jean Laurent, of Hyde Park succumbed to a heart attack at the age of 86 on January 11, 2014. Wife of the late Pierre Joseph Devaris. Mrs. Devaris a housewife was born in Petion Ville, Haiti. Loving mother of Jeanne Belizaire, Yves Devaris, Marie Catherine Auguste, Pierre Joseph Devaris, Jean Taylor Devaris, and Rose Marie Thevenin. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Reposing at the Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Avenue, MILTON VILLAGE, with visiting hours Friday January 17th, 5:00-9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Angela Church, Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan, Saturday January 18th followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Dear Lifelong Friends:
Great sadness fell upon me when I learned that “Tante Andrea” passed away. I am especially sad because I saw her a couple of weeks ago and now I wish that I had stayed with her longer. I have known “Tante Andrea” for most of my life and I can only remember times of laughter every time we would meet. She was one of the most cheerful people that I have known. May she rest in peace.
I would like to extend my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the family in this time of sorrow. I mourn with you.
