Louise A. Power
Louise A. Power, of Milton, formerly of Cambridge, died on September 30, 2013. Born and raised in Cambridge, she lived there for fifty years prior to moving to Milton in 1973.
Louise worked for Harvard Trust from 1941-1988 and retired as the Secretary to the President. Louise was a member of the Council on Aging in Milton and was an active Parishioner at Saint Agatha Church in Milton.
She also was an active supporter of Catholic Charities and a former member of Saint Paul’s Church Ladies Sodality. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
Beloved daughter of the late William H. and Eunice L. (Scott) Power. Sister of the late Albert J. Power, William H. Power, Jr., Walter S. Power, Bernard T. Power, Mary E. Nadeau, Margaret E. Cassidy and Robert J. Power. Louise is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, Milton on Friday, October 4 at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave. EAST MILTON, Thursday, 4-8PM. Interment Saint Stephen’s Cemetery, Framingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise’s memory may be sent to Catholic Charities169 Court St., Brockton, MA 02302.

Louise will always be remembered for her upbeat attitude, her warm smile, and her wisdom in supporting her family members. She was dedicated to her extended family, her career, her faith, and her community. Yes, Louise was always dependable for bringing a large plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies to every family gathering and they were the best! She was bright, precise, and knowledgeable about current events. And who but Louise had a razor-sharp memory for remembering everyone’s birthday. She will surely be missed!
