Priscilla Larkin
Priscilla Larkin of Rockland MA, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was 89.
Priscilla was born in Dedham on June 13, 1923. She attended Roslindale High School in Roslindale, MA.
Priscilla was married to John E. Larkin Jr on March 13 1959; they were married 54 years.
Priscilla worked as a Nurses Aid for Beatrice Maria Nursing Home for 15 years. She enjoyed her family first and foremost; she also enjoyed bingo and Foxwoods.
Priscilla is survived by her beloved husband John E Larkin Jr, children Adalaide Burke, Warren Hoppie, Nancy Palhete, Arlene MacDonald, Alfred Hoppie, Joan Edlin, Sue Larkin, Priscilla McMahon, Shirley Larkin, Alex Larkin, Johnny Larkin and Scott Larkin, 34 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, sons and daughter in-laws and friends. Priscilla is preceded in death by her son Richard Hoppie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 18 at 10:00 AM in Saint Brendan Church, Galvin Blvd, Dorchester. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visitation Friday 2-4 6-8 PM at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St. DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS.. A private burial will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation in Priscilla’s name may be made to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370.

It was always our pleasure to visit our son John, and Pat Larkin McMahon at their home in Pembroke in August for the Larkin Family Picnic. Many of the grandchildren, great-grand children, and great-great grandchildren were there having fun too. But the first and last thing they ALL did was give grandma and grandpa a big hello and goodbye kiss. Very impressive! Our prayers are with all members of the family for the loss of their matriarch. Rest in peace, Pat.
